S&B 'inch' which is about 26mm according to my calipers.

 

Just to clarify a point that a couple have people have questioned, the light transmission is exactly the same for both inch and 30mm tubes, the difference is the amount of available adjustment.

 

Excerpt from an email to S&B below for the non-believers :good:

 

 

 

Dear Phil,

 

The transmission is the same.

 

The adjustment is:

 

Diameter 30 +/- 110 cm

 

Inch +/- 60 cm

Thanks for the information.

 

Does the different tube diameter mean the 30mm scope has better light transmission or is it just more adjustment?
