  1. Hi

If anyone would like a hand shooting some foxs i am more than willing to help

I have my FAC open for rim fires but not for my centre fires yet so i am after some land to shoot them on.

I am a member of a target club and have been shooting my .223 for nearly a year. I've hit a pumpkin at 900 yards with it!

I have been controlling rabbits on a local farm for several years but there are no foxs to shoot on there :(

    Many Thanks

    Alex

  2. Watch ya

I'm looking at getting a new torch to be attached to my rifle and shotgun for rabbits and foxes out to 150/200 yards at night.

Iv got a lightforce 170 which i use at the moment but i want something light weight to walking around that is straight in the line of fire.

Iv been looking at the Klarus XT11 but wondered about its range and what the beam is like?

    any experience??

Also recommended to me are the Fenix tk21 and the Dereelight DBS V3.

What are people using? help me out cause I'm fed up with looking at torches!

    Cheers

  3. Hi All,

I have been going out of my mind on trying to choose what gun to get.

I want a 223 for target shooting and for foxing, not extreme target shooting just prity darn acurate.

Went to the gun show at newmark and looked at all sorts of lovely gun and have narrowed it down to the remington 700 police or the kimber lpt. Has anyone had either and how did they get on with them?

    Many thanks

  4. yeah, iv found that i push my tongue up the top of the caller, nearly covering the hole and dont blow to hard.

once you've got it they are wicked!

Did you buy yours? how much?

im thinking of making them and flogging them cause they are a piece of cake to make.

  5. thinking about it i gave it a full strip down and then maybe it started happening a little while later

iv put plenty of cartridges through it.

i got a users manual with it but its not very detailed so iv sent it off, there is somthing wrong with those arms but i cant sort it.

    cheers anyways everyone

  6. Hi all,

Got a problem with my mossberg 410 pump action, i think its the 500 model.

after the first shot is fired you cock it back, the used cartridge is ejected but then it tries to feed the next two cartridges at once and wont cock back?

Any ideas before she's posted back to the gun shop?

    Cheeers Alex

  7. thinking of getting into the centre fire world, do a bit a foxing, bit of deer and some long range target shooting. To save a bit of money i was thinking of just getting one real nice cannon that would do all i need, am i just dreaming of such a round? Would a .243 suit my needs?

  8. Went over to Steve Reynolds simulated clay place over in herford with cambridge field sports association on wednesday nite. He's got a real good set up over there and every one had a good crack. he fed and watered us and we shot about 200clays, the traps were hand traps but there were 3 old boys on them going hell for leather and provided some sweet shooting. i recommend having a butchers over there if your that way.

  9. Hi All,

got one of these Butler creek banana 25round magazine for my 10/22 ruger,it doesnt seem very good, spring doesn't seem to be pushing the rounds up very well and keeps making my gun misfire due to no cartridge being in the breech. anyone else had any problems? any solutions?

    Cheers Ta.

  10. Hi All

Im picking up my ruger 10/22 delux later this week and wonder about getting a timley trigger kit for it?? iv heard standard trigger kits are really heavy, has anyone tried the timley ones? any other good mods for starters?

    cheers

  11. Isn't it funny that not once in the news about old Moaty recently have i heard that gun licening should be tightened! he was using ilegal weapons with no certificates and the press have left this issue alone! if people want hand guns and sawn off they still can get them. :good: But when there was that due the other week that is all they were banging on about! i find it very frustrating. About what they'll do, i spoke to my firearms officer about my variation and when we were chatting he said he thinks they will put the cost of the licence up. It is quite out of date if you think you pay at least £26 a year to fish! a shot gun works out £8. not that i want it up!
