An air source pump is the way forward, we seem to have a problem in the UK with installing low cost heaitn units ( cheap gas combi boilers) and then they cost o fortune to run. Ground source are OK but what a nause to install, solar panels are a waste of time.
I've done loads of research on this and with Air source you can get 5:1 efficieny, ie put 1 kW in and get 5 out.
You'll need to look at how big you house is etc, these things can heat the water up to about 55 - 60 degrees
If you are serious have a look at what they do on the continent, they have been installing these things for years, I think these should be compulsory for every new build.
No I'm not an eco warrior but when my last gas bill arrived I realised it was time to do something. I'm still waiting on some more technical advice as to the best system to fit in my house but I'm defo going to have one of some sort.

These recipes all sound great, My lad ( hitchy294) and I have just had a days shooting with p-a-s and we did the 'peeling' pigeons to get the meat of the breasts, My lad loves them fried, can you tell me why your recipes are salting them overnight??
I'm hoping for a Woody Stroganoff this weekend as we've got 1/2 doz in the freezer at the moment.

Nice to meet up with you yesterday, you gave us a warm freindly welcome and made me and my lad ( both newbies and have never shot live quarry) feel at ease straight away and took the time to explain all aspects to us, even though you'd have a busy time of it. You are very knowledgable and passed some of it on which is greatly appreciatted.
Hope to meet up with you again when I can get you that pint.

BTW Andy how many did you bag, we only managed 5, my lad got 3 of them

Always dreamt of an E Type when I was a Kid, saw one the other day and they look so small and slow compared with todays motors.
I do fancy one of them Chrysler 350c's 5.7l hemi in black with all the windows tinted out. Still, I suppose I'll make do with my little smart car

Me and my 15 year old son have just started Clay shooting.
Based in Bourne Lincolnshire, we're not very good yet but both very keen.
