I was talking to a neighbour the other day, and a van pulled up..all sign written , beds and mattresses... he shouts, anyone want to buy a king size memory foam mattress ? £100 brand new....
we didn't take him up on the offer as he looked a bit flushed got to give him credit for trying though
I had something similar the other day, I was walking along minding my own business and this tranny van pulls up and the bloke asks me if i want a king sized matteress or know anyone who does.

Got a new lad started at work and yesterday we were talking about old arcade games we used to play as kids... He hadnt heard of half of them. So I have a look online and the ones i remembered were from like 1982/83/84. He wasnt born until 1991!!!!!!

A visit to your local gun shop is what you need to do here. Try a few out within your price range, then walk away and do more research on line about those you have short listed. Thats what i did. I had about 900quid to spend and went out with the idea to buy an HW100. I ended up buying a 2nd hand S410K in .22 simply because it was lighter and felt more natural for me to use. I paid about £450 for it probably 4 years ago, and looking at the for sale forums, they still fetch that now. As with any popular good gun they will hold their value.
In my case the s410 has proven to be perfect, and has counted for hundreds of pigeons, rabbits, squirrels. Its easy to service youself every few years.
My other favourite air rifle is a Theoben Rapid. Ive one in .20, although compared to the s410 its a heavy old tractor.

Thats a right bargain. I recently paid more than that to have my sabel serviced! Would have been cheaper to chuck it in the bin & buy another!

Ive 2 of these. One at home & one at work. I was sceptical about the running costs of them, but it works out between 25p and 50p per cup of coffee and its proper stuff too, so works out cheaper than the local coffee shop.
Its also good cos its not just coffee, it also does hot chocolates and teas. My missus hates coffee but love the milka milk chocolate they do.

Be worth checking reviews to see how these pattern, im sure I read somewhere when i was considering a .410 adapter for my 12 bore that the patterning is a lot worse than if you fired it through an actual .410 gun. When I factored the price in, it was cheaper for me to just buy an old .410 shotgun instead!

s410`s are mega easy to work on, so you should be able to clean that up easily enough. Good luck with it.

Bikes are amazingly cheap these days, you can get a lot for your money. You can pick up an early R1 like mine for about 2grand, very easy to ride, can poodle along in 6th gear through traffic, or hit 115mph in 2nd year on the back wheel if your that way inclined. And if your 40 or over its only £60 to insure it.
If its definitely v-twin then Aprilla RSV`s are very cheap now. You can even pick up a Ducati 996 for £3500. Spoilt for choice really!
Ive riden a TL1000R a few times and personally didnt like it. Riding position wasnt good for me and I didnt like low rev limit. It seemed I was constantly having to change gear. If you go for a TL make sure you get a steering dampner if it doesnt have one. They are very twitchy.
The Triumph 955 never really seemed very popular when it came out, i only knew one lad who had one and he said it felt heavy compared to other bikes he`d had.
The SV650 was a popular bike, sort of a poor mans ducati although it looked more like a 125 from the size of it. Very popular with first time riders though. Maybe worth looking at the SV1000 like someone else said.

My s410 in .22 I know it inside out and have lost count of the amount of kills ive had with it. Although having recently bought a rapid 12 in .20 I may change my mind once i get more used to the rapid.

ask tester to point out problem. The corrosion has to be excessive and within 12" of load bearing part of chassis PS he can only test with tool for the job and that's a plastic hammer with alloy scrapper.
What he said. Every MOT tester is different, and advisories are just what that particular tester thinks at that moment in time. Ive had cars before which have had advisories one year for something, ive done absolutely nothing about it, then next year its been fine. One of my cars had advisories for "worn suspension bushes" for 3 years running, then year 4 they were fine!
Have a word with the tester and see what he was referring to, then speak to an expert to see if its actually something you need to address. Ive heard of some MOT places advising on things in order to generate more repair work for themselves in the past, so its best to get someone elses opinion on it.

Exactly. I had a guy pile into the back of my car whilst i was in stationary traffic a few years back. It was in a 30mph zone and the force of the impact was so much that my drivers seat was ripped out from the floor of the car as I was thrown back, the whole back end of my car was crushed and the other driver had been braking so hard, the front of his car actually went under my car. Clearly he had been doing a lot more than 30mph.
What did the police have to say? They said "not enough evidence to prosecute him". So he didnt get any points, fine or anything.

Ive been to Edinburgh more times than I can remember as one of my clients is there. I took the missus there the other year and had a great time. I usually stay in the Apex Waterloo or the George hotel, although check which hotels have offers on. You really need to get one in the centre.
If you get the train there, Waverley station is bang in the middle. If you fly in, then its about a 20min taxi from the airport to the city. Loads of roadworks as they are still building that £billion per mile tram system.
Loads of shopping to be done down Princes Street which overlooks a nice park, and the street behind that has loads of bars / pubs so good for a bit of a pub crawl or sitting outside people watching.
If you go to the Castle then its a nice walk down from the Castle down the High Street down to Cannon Gate - its a long road with loads of touristy shops etc.
Whilst near the Castle, id highly recommend the Camera Obscura, plus Mary Kings Close which is the underground town. The whisky experience I thought was a waste of time & money. The National Museum is also worth a look around and its free! Theres some lovely old pubs in the grassmarket area and you can easily find enough stuff to do for 3 days.
We saw Les Mis at the theatre whilst we were there - so there may be some show on you can checkout. Its a lovely old theatre.
Food wise, theres all the normal places, like Bella Italia etc. Ive eaten at Vittoria on the bridge, and the "Outsider", both lovely places although possibly a bit more pricey.
All in all, its a cracking place to visit.

Depends on your car and location I think. I was chatting to my neighbour about this a few months back and he said where he works, a lot of guys buy crappy old bangers for £500 and run them on red diesel, as they figure if they get caught and the car is confiscated then they wont loose much money. Apparently the police know this, and so target old banger diesel cars they see driving around in the country lanes near where he works.
If your in some brand new merc or bmw then I think your chances of getting stopped are slim, but if you can afford cars like that then I guess you wouldnt be running them on red diesel.

Several ways to sell a private place. Firstly ideally you need to transfer the plate off onto a retention certificate. DVLA will give the car an age related plate - usually the original plate it was issued with when it was registered. This costs you £120 if i remember rightly. You can then allocate it to another car or keep it on the certificate for a year after which you fork out £25 a year to renew it. You can, I believe, transfer the plate directly from one car to another without using the retention certificate approach, but most people recommend the retention certificate as the easiest way.
There are places like the regtransfers company you mention who will simply act as a broker. They will advertise your plate on their list of plates and if it sells then take a cut. This can take years and years. I tried it once before with one of my private plates and ended up just letting my retention certificate expire rather than keep forking out £25 a year to renew it.
Or, most people I know just stick the plate on ebay and see what it sells for. You`ll be surprised at who will buy it, but dont expect much money. A lot of plates you can get from DVLA directly for £250, so the 2nd hand value isnt much unless its something very special. My mate sold one a few months back for £120 which was something like A2 ABC with ABC being his initials. The guy who bought it didnt even have the same initials, just said he wanted a private plate!
One idea someone suggested to me in the past, is to find a local company who has the same initials as on your plate and approach them to see if they want to buy it.

One plus point is that they normally offer to sell you the car at the end of the period for a reasonable price at a discount to it's open market value, I've just bought my Volvo XC90 from the leasing company at what I considered to be a very fair price.
You did well there then. Ive had company lease cars in the past and unfortunately for me, the prices they quoted me to allow me to buy the car once the lease was up were about 25% higher than I could get the same car from privately.
My wife's got a lease car via her company and it works out well for her. As its a company car she pays about £70 a month extra in tax, but her company pays everything else - tyres, servicing, insurance, tax etc all inclusive as part of the lease agreement. Her company`s agreement with the lease company is over 4 years or 100k miles whichever comes first. If your getting a personal lease deal then the tax side of things wont affect you.
I looked into lease cars & PCP for myself last year when I was looking for a new car and the killer for me, was the mileage i do. Anything more than 12k a year then it gets expensive. I worked out the depreciation cost of buying a new car outright compared to the yearly cost of leasing compared to PCP deals and for my situation it worked out cheaper just to fork out and buy the car outright. So, it all depends upon your personal situation really as to what works for you.

What he said. I saw an ad for them in one of my shooting magazines and thought they were well cheap for what they were, but after spending some time researching them, the verdict from owners is that they are not any good.

I do a lot of spraying and get all my paint from a local car paint supplier. They can match any paint you want. Either from a book, or from a sample. They not only supply it in tins for spray guns, but will also stick it in aresol cans. The cans they use have decent spray nosels on them too, not like the ones you may buy from halfords.
Have a look in the yellow pages and see if there is anywhere like that near you.

Damn. I was too slow. What a bargain, this is half the price they normally come up for 2nd hand. You cant even get the single shot baikel one for this price.

Lot of places let you borrow ear defenders etc, but if you are thinking you will do this more than once, best off buying some. They arnt that expensive. My brother just uses them roll in foam ear plugs which cost a quid or something.
As others have said, dont get disheartnened or frustrated if you miss a shot, just relax and enjoy yourself. Id also make sure you mount the gun right, else you`ll end up with sore cheek & sore shoulder for a few days after!

Lovely gun. I bought one identical to that last year from a shop and paid nearly double that price for it. Some dont like short barrels, but i prefer them as they suit my style better.
