  1. started out with a baikel s/s 430e for £175 from T Mcavoys in chorley(maybe a few cartridridges for the advert eh Tim) thought it was great , my first gun. Then i shot my dads silver sable and what a difference :D unfortunatly

it was stolen a few years ago :) and which ever gun i had i couldn`t shoot a thing ;) so it was back to the trusty baikel with 3/4 and full chokes.recently bought a lanber o/u multichoke and like to shoot over decoys with 1/4 and cylinder.but any duck or walked up pheasant etc... it`s the baikel for me :( :( :(

  2. took the words right out of my mouth ern :D

what if someone puts a picture on the site and everyone makes a caption up for it . then every one votes for the funniest so it`s not decided by one person.

    it`s just a thought guys. :*)

when the farmer sows his field again you should still get a couple of weeks shooting pigeon then. then when the wheat or barley starts to shoot through you should have a chance on the crows then . if there is any sitty trees on the farm , get under one and wait . boring i know but it gets you out of the house.

  4. sorry i seem to have upset you nick but if you have done physics at school you`ll know that the greater the surface the more resistance and pTaylor has heard right, over a fair distance the.177 will wander slightly but i do think the .22 will wander more

  5. sorry gamebag but your wrong. .177 is more accurate due to there being less air ressistance.and as to missing an head shot and causing more pain?:D??surely if you miss the head you have a good chance of missing the bird!if you go for the chest and stray you could wing the bird or shoot it in the stumach or legs causing more pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. as you can see with the number of posts i have made i`m quite new to the site and i`m not put off with what i have read.this section seems to be for general banter -talk about other things than shooting.so where is the problem.if there has been any disrespect then fair enough.i agree with apb that it is quiet in the fields so there`s not much to talk about on the shooting side but i disagree with cranfield telling people to join a chat room.

  7. thats true bolta , but although i dont want to argue with you i shoot 12g all the time and ive smacked birds point blank and the have still flew off(i`ve no doubt just to die in the next field).I have also dropped them and when come to pluck them they hav only been hi with a single pellet.I have a mate who had a hw80 .177 and he went for the head all the time.with the scopes you can get now there shouldn`t need be any call for chest shots
