Surely you get no shooting done! I thought they were at it like rabbits 24/7. A bit like my own life I might add. I wish...
-
Are they okay to eat? I bagged three yesterday. And two were loaded with young ones. Does it matter that they are up the spout when going in the pot?
-
Sorry should have said. It's good grouping with a BSA Lightening?
-
Just another zeroing question. What kind of grouping should I be looking for before I am satisfied that i am getting good enough zeroing for shooting rabbits and pigeons? This would be from 35 yards?
-
For shooting rabbits with my BSA Lightning? Any suggestions?
-
What have I started! I'll be happy hitting the piece of A4 paper at the moment!
-
Thanks for all your replys people. Off out after rabbits with my mate on Thursday. I'll let you know how i get on.
-
Aghhh comprenday. Cheers

1/4 at 100 yards - shooting at 35 yards
-
My scope is also 1/4 at 100 yards. So at 35 yards we're looking at just over 1/2 inch for every click?
-
Also fella, At the moment I'm zeroing onto a piece of A4 paper with a 50p size spot in middle. My shots are going high and right by about 6 inch high, 4 inch wide. How many clicks would you say that is to get a zero. At the moment I just seem to be clicking about 7 at a time... but no massive difference!

Sorry should have mentioned I've got a BSa lightning with a Hawke Reflex 4-40 on board.
-
Now then fellas. Need a bit more advice from yur wealth of knowledge. What's the best method of holding the rifle secure with minimum movent so I can zero to 35 yards? Can you bear in mind I haven't got a Black and decker Workmate. A sin I know for somone who has finally completed all the DIY and now has his life back!
PS: Axe - your zeroing tutorial has been very useful. Thanks very much.
Cheers in advance

Bit of everything really. But off to see a friends dad tomorrow. He's a farmer and has said I can shoot over his land. Bit of a bonus really. I'll let you know how I get on.
-
All bought and on its way I'm afriad. Cheers though. Some mates who have been shooting for a long while suggested this kit.
-
Cheers for the advice fellas. I've got myself a kit from one of the magazines. BSA Lightning, Pro mounts?, and Hawke 4x40 scope, a gun bag and a tin of pellets for £220. Should be a good starting point?
-
Chees for the advice fellas. Is there any picture diagram guides anywhere?
-
Now then people. I'm a a relative newcomer to this game. I've just got my new rifle out of the box. I need to get the mounts on, fit the scope and then zero it. Can you give me some advice please? Best way to zero the gun, etc.
Cheers in advance.

I'll have a bit of that Chris. Drop me a line.

That sounds good Kevin. If I get any farms I'll let you know. I could do with some help on shooting techniques, etc, as I consider myself a total beginner.
Cheers

I have also sent you an e-mail
Cheers for now

Hiya Kevin. I'm a new one to this game (not plinked around much since I was a kid) and am also looking for land to shoot on in West Yorkshire. If you fine any I'd be happy to help you share! And vice versa. Two people looking is better than one. At moment I'm planning a trip around farms near South West Leeds as I live in Oulton near Rothwell.
Cheers

Howdo. I'm new to this game. Am about to buy a BSA Lightningafter having this gun recommended to me by a mate. Can anyone tell me a good place to get this gun as cheaply as possible. I would like it fitted with a silencer, scope and scope mounts ideally.
Thanks in advance
Best pellets!
