  1. 22-250 at one round per minutes for twenty rounds that barrel was very hot, if you can't hold your hand on it , it needs to cool! a good cleaning and you will be good to go for a long time at five rounds a day. alot of 22-250 have a 1-14 twist rate and love lighter bullets, 55 grain tops, 40 way better, have fun Stephen

  2. if one is bleeding the others will peck it to death! beak protectors solve the problem, little plastic blinders that attach trough holes all ready in the beak. plenty of food and water they should recover, chicks are cheaper to feed as full grown birds are pigs. if you see a bird hurt, isolatate it till it recovers or they will kill it, have fun Stephen

  3. I too had the fantasy of a small farmstay with some decent shooting and no production "feel", but have never heard of it. It may exist, and I'd love to know about it.

Cordoba is a huge area, and the standing population of doves is well over 15 million birds. If the government could afford it, they would helicopter spray the roosts and nesting areas as the soybean crop is BIG business for the Argentines, especially during hoof and mouth boycotts of the wonderful beef.

I wouldn't really sweat the "bird boy" stuff, the volume shoting, and the formality. If you pick the right lodge, the outfitters are very sensitive to the wants of the shooter. Over the years I've sent groups who wanted nothing more than killing the new world's record of doves each day, and I've also sent couples or groups of men who wanted to shoot a few boxes of shells and eat a great meal and take a nap, and maybe fish after lunch. The right outfitter can get it all right.

It is truly a great trip, but with your wife you should really spend some time in BA or Mendosa if you have the time.

plus 1 on what he said, unless your wife is in to eating, drinking, or shooting, send her some where else. five hundred rounds before lunch is not uncommon. 20 bore 1100 seam to be the weapon , bring all the shells that you can, because after the first flat or two the rest have to be bought from local gov. the bird boys are there to pick up birds, and give away a whole pick up load on the way back to the ranch! but if you want one to load your weapon and hand you beer's he will!! the food is fantastic and lodgeing very good. some day I will get to try it have fun Stephen look around some, I just looked at the site and and chuckers and pheasents are not that thick in so america, you want doves, pigeons our ducks

  4. just don't shoot one at any body!! a guy around here last year was dumping the shot out of 20 gauge shells and shooting them in the air on new years eve, all was fine till he got the bright idea of shooting his buddy with one, the plastic wad penetrated the guy's jacket and his chest, nearly killed him, be safe and have fun Stephen

  5. looks like your rifle has a 1-14 twist rate, same as my ruger. 55 grain bullets are about max and need to be shot slow, about 3500 or so, mine really liked 40 grain win ballistic silver tips at about 4200 and will turn a bunnie into flying debris!! with no wind and a good table, two inch targets at 300 yards are easy, have fun Stephen

  6. b-2000 ultra light made in the seventy's, nice auto, got two so if I ware this one out got a spare. b-80 was diffrent, but can't remember why, seams browning gold was close but you could not load from side. but plate marked f/n, you guy's know what that is . I didn't, have fun Stephen
