  1. The Silver Pig I bought is the sporter with optibore chokes and the top rib is the same as the 682e, I think tapering from about 10 to 8 mill. The only diff from 682e is vented mid rib, adj trigger and ext chokes. but luckily given a set of beretta extended ported victory titanium chokes It also has a slight palm swell. From what I have seen there is the field, game and comp models available. From the shooting front it really does feel on the clays with no effort, just keep your eyes on the clay! Cheers N T was a risky call but right one.
  2. I finally traded in my 525 for the Silver Pigeon 3 and the good news is I had a lesson with my regular coach who said it fits me and I shot my best with long crossers, loopers and battues. So looking forward to a long future with the gun. : ) Cheers for the advice.
  3. O Dear it may be good bye to the 525 and hello 687 silv pig 3 sport. Lets hope my average cpsa reg 100 at EJ Churhill gets better than 63. Mind u only been shooting 1 year so know it aint all the gun just trying to find what suits best.
  4. I shot at EJ Churchill shooting ground with my 525 and a silv pig and found exactly that. The Beretta felt more alive and on the targets! My 525 is great hardly no recoil but not as intouch with the targets
  5. Thanks for that. Do you find the 682 much lighter in the barrels and easier to swing? I think I'll prefer the flat top rib too.
  6. Thinking of changing my 525 for a Silver Pigeon 687 Sporter this week? Been told 687 is v similar to 682 Gold e, optibore etc. Good or Bad move? Providing gun fits will prob go for it. Gun used for sporting clays. Done too much reading and comparing so it's make your mind up time. Opinions welcome. Ian
