Highseas I think you might be right, I think this is a breeding bull that is tame and used to people. He might have been asleep when the guy went in there and pulled this stunt.

Nowt more enjoyable than buffalo wrestling on a Sunday !!!
Lol!

Hi Kes, this is actually the Cape buffalo and not the water buffalo, but you are right by saying that they are the most dangerous game in South Africa, although hippos kill more people than buffalo.

Its hardly rocket science, I think it makes the day more enjoyable to be honest
I'm with Kennett, myself and SA Shooter always have a good laugh when we share a hide, even better when one of us fire 3 shots and don't hit a bird...we've all been there! Lol

I would believe this if the bloke came from Newcastle or perhaps Yorkshire.....but Essex....it has to be fake.
A Red Bull is as close as your mate would get to the real thing
Being a real Northern man I am able to "multitask" I didn't find it hard sitting on the toilet and writing this while eating my dinner at the same time.
He is actually from South Africa...not Essex, don't know what he would do if he see a guy with a fake tan...

Making a friend from that country I would say they are crazy enough for anything so real

Went through the computer and stumbled upon these pictures. I was still in uni at the time and went home for the weekend. With my brother being into the big game scene back home, he said that we had a nice job the next morning, capturing 2 zebra. Met up with the farmer the next morning, flew out and darted these two zebra .
View from the heli
2nd one done, you can see the blood next to the tail where the dart had hit.
Farmer has got two springbuck in his front garden, pets...
two rhino on his farm
The last two pictures is just of two different regions in South Africe, the top one in the Garden Route and the bototm the Karoo, these photos were taken less than 20 minutes apart.
Till next time

After the last comments about SA Shooter and his city foxes, I thought I will add it in the title for a bit of banter...Anyway, myself and SA Shooter went out last night on one of my permissions and shot these three. I got my first one within 5 minutes, we just parked up, got our boots on, the guns out and I was still busy to tuck in my 5 layers of jumpers...when a dog fox came running across the field, there was no time to belt up, so with a cold breeze down stairs I managed to get the sticks up and get him. We spotted Werners one next to a hedge, the shot wasn't safe so we moved into a better position. He gave a few blows on the whistle and in she came, like a rocket I must add. A bark from Werner made her stop, dead in her tracks...As we walked back, Werner suggested to have a look in one last field, where one off us missed one earlier in the evening...Werner picked up the eyes a fare old distance out and I got the sticks ready and fired, the fox appeared to be limping but didn't run off, so I reloaded and took him down with the second shot. When we got to him, the first bullet just shaved his bottom jaw...luckely we managed to get him. A good result over all.
Till next time

Got the Uttings email yesterday, and it advertised these Zeiss binos from £350. Has anyone got any experience on these?
