[Corrision protection]

Hi,

 

I have noticed today that on the barrel and action of my BSA Lightning has in a few places very fine rusty corrosion. It is unnoticable unless you star e really closely but are there any products on the market that will get rid of it and or prevent it?

I use silicone oil on a rag. Works like a treat.

WARNING: only use on outside parts of your airgun !!!

I heard peanutbutter works great as a rat bait. Anybody tried this?

ive also shot hares with a .22 magnum seen 1 shot right through both eyes in one side out the other and had to jump on it as it ran like an exorcet missle past the 4x4!!

 

There are a lot of cavities between the eyes. When shot between the ear and the eye, I have doubt the hare will run far.

A couple of years ago I bagged loads and loads of small game with a "lowly" CZ slavia 630. It was tuned for maximum power (6 fpe) . Had more luck with that little rifle than with my BSA and Diana rifles. And yes, it was in .177

I have never come across an FAC .177

 

You should go abroad more often. In the rest of europe they sell and shoot .177 FAC.

On rainy days they hardly come out of their holes. Only the very young ones do sometimes. The larger ones stay inside. Same goes for strong wind.
