  1. Hi all I'm after a bit of advice on rabbit shooting

I've recently got a hw100 air gun as a friend has permission to shoot a fue acres of fields

We went and walked around the fence looking but not seen any yet. I've only been a couple of times but we go around mid day and there's not a lot of rabbits about.

I am a complete novice in field craft as all I've been shooting is clays for the last 4 years

But what's the best times to go shooting to find rabbits. And pigeons. We tried a bit of decoys but not had much luck getting them in to land.

Any advice is welcome weather it be decoying tactics or rabit shooting.

    Thanks Ashley

  2. Thanks for your reply's

I'm going to look at one tonight I know when my friend sets it's mint it rearly will be good condition

It's a177 as he dose a lot of target shooting at his club but he enjoys his springer air rifle over the pcp.

He was not sure on price for it but it will also come with a scuba bottle spair mags usual gear.

I'm going to bid £400 and see what he says lol

  4. hi all its been a long time since i last poasted on hear the last time i ws on hear it made me buy a browning cynigey shotgun lol a nice birthday pressent for me. love the gun and shoots verry well but after aroung 4000 carts later i now have a small problem with the lower barrel ejector or the left one on the barrels. fault is the pin that holds the ejector cam link has loosend up a bit and causing the ejector foot to wobble a bit and the pin is moving in and out a small bit causing a notchy fealing when manuly pressed in.

dose any one know where i can order the parts form the internet or a gun smith who would sell them to me ?.

  5. I've been shooting only for two years and started out with a beretta 686e with victory chokes. Last year I had some 2k eating a hole in my pocket and wanted a new gun after looking at loads off different guns read all the reviews ect I was set on finding a browning cynigery black ice carbon 32" got it second hand at a good price from a nother pw member it took me a while to get it set up for me and after a bit of practice its the best gun I've ever owned. It's built for sporting clays from the ground up its got a low action nice soft stock pad doesn't jump with recoil too much and it should be a long lasting hard wearing gun I've put over a thousand carts through mine with no faults. They got an adjustable Combe spacers for the stock pad three different triggers one curved for a right handed shooter a wide one and a thin one there three position adjustable. It's a rearly good package for a gun and makes me wonder why dt10 and other guns like that are so much more money the cynergy also comes with a adjustable wood stock wort a look

  6. I have just got a citizen Eco drive day date radio controlled one dose all the time zone change thing. £400 and love it it's rearly nice. It's heavy they got a good grantee the battery is made from a titanium and something and will last almost six months with out seeing daylight that's impressive on its own. Rearly theo I'd love a tag heuer Cv2a11.Ba0796 but at 3k but after getting my citizen Eco drive I don't even look at tags now

  7. I did not think about a deep fat fryer that's a good idea gets oil in there as well as heating the metal up. How hot would you have too get the barals to change the temper off the metal. I could touch the metal where I heated it I rearly didn't want too damage the blueing off the gun

  8. Hi all thought I'd just give some advice when getting a new. I've recently got a used gun looked good didn't seem to have had a lot of use did the usual checks made sure it opened ok didn't have any play in the action looked down the barrels all good ect took it out shooting loved the gun shot rearly well

As I was cleaning it I tried too remove the choke and they was jammed solid. I even broke the browning choke key as luck would have it my beretta choke key fitted good. I had too warm the barrels over the Cooker to get them out I've neather had this problem before just took me about 40mins to get it all sorted so the chokes screw In and out nicely.

I think the next gun I buy I'd be checking them

  9. I know off two l200 one is 100 k on the clocks 2004 the most looked after l200 I've seen by my mate who has car OCD lol drove it like you grandad no more than 65mph not revving it past 2500 rpm owned it for two years now in the first six months the turbo was sticking and going in to limp home mode with over boost faults fitted a new turbo. All going ok 5months later big hole in the engine block Conrod Brock the rest off the time sat in his yard with him calling it a pease of **** lol the other l200 is solid well serviced tows 7m power boats every where in and out off sea water most days driven flat out every day by a x tank commander only fault is it judders heavy in therd gear when accelerating and no one can find out why

  10. I work for vw and ther good the early ones some times have wireing problems the 2.5 tdi pd engines can have problems with oil and water mix normally water pump or the heat exchanger. Go for a auto dsg v6 there very good all round very quick powerfull and easy to drive and the v6 engines seem more harder and suffer less faults. But they do where front tyres out on the outer edge becouce you forget how fast you can drive a 2ton car round a corner
