You may want to remove your phone number! :o

  2. Changing/Taking off/on a scope is not the issue here as there are many scope mounts out there which allow this with out any change to zero..the problem lies when in the films they pick there package/rifle up..and all of a sudden know how to assemble/disassemble blind folded...and they then go and use it with out a paractice/zero check be done...as a ex sniper i would deffo want to check a weapon/sight before attempting to use it on a body.

+1 on this, and while on the subject of movies etc does any-one know where I can get a hollywood mag as they never need changing :hmm::lol:

  3. I've shot my mate's .243!Don't want a .243 as I told you!Am more than happy with my rifle-haven't had any Foxes complain yet!!

.22 Hornet 35gr Fox no complaint

    .243 57gr bt / 70gr bt Fox no complaint

    .308 whatever Fox no complaint

Also no complaint from 22/250 & 223 but for longer range/stopping power & flexibility .243 gets my vote.Oh and all cleared for reynard the fox...Job done imo.

  4. The same happened to me with blue tips, pulled trigger nothing re-cycled another round but luckily for me it would not enter the breech.I then found spent case with a good strike and powder in the case, aimed lamp down barrel to find blockage.....here endeth night's lamping!I have also recently found shot cases with splits in the collar but that's another tale on the stalking directory.

  5. Sound advice from all.I have a 17hmr good tool,a 243 covers every aspect and for dropping mr fox I recon no higher than 70gr b/t.I needed something quieter, lighter yet just as capable at shorter range (150-200 yrd) so I opted for 22 hornet.Recieved plenty of advice and almost opted for 223 or 222 these may also suit you if an inbetween calibre is required.Your 243 will cover all the bases so you could try it out then if the need arises maybe look into hornet etc.I'm not too sure but are 17rem prone to shift around in wind?? :hmm:
