  5. Birthday Buck - Amazing Second Stalk

    This morning me and my dad went out with a local deer guide Mark Robson, out for a morning stalk to try for a birthday buck. We had only gone 500m from his truck and mark spotted a doe and buck way across the field from us. We lay still rifle all ready on bipod in place making sure i was still, we watched him and he made his way across the field towards us this is where a safe shot at him was available, Heart/Lung shot just a little high but still hitting the lungs and top of the heart, shot was at 100m, job done for 04:40. A nice mature freak head :)

     

    This will be remember forever, great memories ;)

    Hello all


    Havent posted in a while, havent been out due to weather and work :(


    I have been after a new mod for my rapid to get the noise down and i seen this huggett :)


    It is fantastic really really whisper quite and it looks great!!!

    Once fitted and tried it out on paper i went to the farm and knew i would bump into some ferals :)

    It really makes a Difference - aware as have been driven around a few Grounds -

     

    Got driven around in a John Dear with a purpose built passenger side Shooting Rest -

     

    Private house with large Gardens -

    Afternoon all

     

    This morning I went and met the head green keeper at my latest golf course permission to get the walk about to show the worst areas of damage and activity of rabbits. 6:45am was ready to leave when the green keeper said have a wee look about see whats about. He chucks me a key and said save your self a walk hahaha take a buggy :)

     

    Popped two rabbits on my first 30min visit, cant wait to get the nite site ns50 set up!!! The rabbits will not see or hear me :) Great Sunday

    Nice shooting. What sort of image intensifier do the NS series use? I'd be a bit careful about viewing very bright images through them as you are likely to damage the tube and reduce the life of your night site.

    I asked nite site and said that its totally fine to use theses but to be at a safe distance. Thanks for the heads up :)
