I ave just got an old Anschutz Match 54 , mechanically perfect but the stock has been shortened and otherwise abused , looking for a good replacement , Match 54 / 64 or whaterever.

Just been given a tin of this unopened , opened it to have a sniff and it's ok , looks like RED DOT but I need to know before use . Does anyone have any info for this very old powder ?

A very long time ago when I lived near Blackpool I was persuaded by a mate to buy a Lincoln Continental MK4 , dirt cheap ,from a yank who was getting shipped back to the USA . Driven gently it did 8mpg , if I thrashed it 6mpg .It handled like a blacmange on stilts but the young ladies were seriously impressed , only ran it at weekends , used my 850 mini the rest of the week .I sold it at the end of the summer season to a French bloke who'd been entertaining on the peir all season , made a good profit too .

I have an old Colchester Student , it does everything I want and it's accurate and will outlast me , I have used it to re-barrel several of my rifles and it wasn't horrendously expensive .

It won't bother me , I eat what I catch , if it's bass - great if it's the tenth I've caught - so what ? There's not going to be fisheries blokes watching me - they can't afford them.

They were probably nothing of the sort , my guess is they were deserters from isis who had had enough and were trying to leave , they would be tortured to say anythingon video and we happened to be top of isis hate list that day , move on - nothing to see here.

Very rugged scopes - I bought two and have one on my Ruger 10-22 .It's sharp and the clicks are very repeatable , I think they will survive on a springer better than most , they came in a hard plasic case and with mounts , cracking little scope.
