    Hi all.

     

    I am looking for some advice on what's cope to buy for my new CZ American .17hmr LH.

     

    I have afew scopes in mind and I would like opinions on them or any others you can recommend.

     

    Nikko Sterling Gameking 6-24x50 or 4-16x50 AO mil dot.

    Hawke Sport HD 4-12X50 mil dot AO

    BSA Sweet 17 6-18x40 AO

    I am getting a Hatsan escort. I have herd nothing but good things. It shoots well, its cheap and if you clean it it is very reliable. But if you don't the parts are very cheap and easly available. If you have beretta money buy a benelli stear clear of beretta it's the name more than the tech although they are owned by the same parent co.

    Seen a coypu in lake garda seemed harmless was only about half a meter away watched it eat for about ten minutes

    Watch a program on national geographics called aliens invade. They are taking over America Europe and north Asia! they are highly invasive, the destroy wetland which then in turn kills the natural species. Whoever they are highly endangered in their natural Peru.

     

    In Florida the swat teams train nightly but sniping them. In the wet lands in Maryland the Coypu nearly cleared 1million acres before they were controlled.

     

    If I see 1 I will have a new hat and I would encourage you all to do the same! I love pike fishing on the broads and want to keep going!

    Hi all I was in the local country shop and was asking about callers for ducks geese crows etc. I was then recommended to get a "U Caller" which is a recorded digital called. I have seen loads of these on eBay and have been thinking about getting one.

     

    But after me and a friend were looking through the BASC website we are not so sure! I have never paid attention to it as it never applied to me. Below is directly quoted from what is not legal:

     

     

    It Is illegal to use certain methods for killing or taking wildlife. Unless stated the following offences apply to both birds and mammals (mammals for the purposes of this section means: schedule 6 mammals Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, Wildlife (Northern Ireland) Order 1985 & Isle of Man, Wildlife Act 1990 and schedule 3 mammals Conservation of Wildlife (Jersey) Law 2000) :

     

    - Use of any sound recording to act as a decoy - birds only (Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981).

     

      “Sound recording” is likely to include sounds made by digital or electronic  devices.

     

     

    Any thoughts?

    They were only £300-£400 New (and they are nearly 30 years old now!)

     

    Second Hand value now Would be £250 - £300 From a trader with some form of limited warranty

     

    Private purchase pay no more than about £150 if its clean, if it's scruffy don'nt bother there are plenty of cheap guns out there but you have to hunt around to find decent ones.

    tried putting a single crow in the pattern.....definatly works, think it gives the pigeons confidence...what i do like to do is to put plenty of black bootpolish on the crow decoy and give it a good buff up..it looks a treat....i put a few pigeon decoys on the lawn out side the dog kennells and they didnt bat an eyelid.......then took them away and put a shiny crow deek out they all went balistic...it looked so menising

    Nice thanks alot for trying this out. W still have not managed to get out shooting due to the weather, or working during the pigeon shooting weather. But all good advise. WellI exept for the single barrel. I dont want a single barrel for pigeon shooting!

    Hi all looking for some help with my mates gun. This is an Armi Bettinsoli written in this order. W have searched this and obviously there is the Bettinsoli gun co but we have also found the Armi gun go (both Italian).

    Thinking how we write make and modle the make is normal first but we are still not sure, ie why would there be 2 gun co's engraved on the gun.

     

    This gun is a single trigger ejector mulit chock gun.

     

    We have googled this but it does not come up with any positive results that could be related to this gun

     

    Any ideas anyone?

    No matter what laws they bring in, there will always have kitchen knives. I have a butchers boning knife, no7 opneal and a foot long bowie knife. I was pulled over few weeks back (with gutted rabbits in my van) and the 2 officers said as long as you have a reason you won't have issues.

     

    They cannot ban knives when gun are legal (However they are licences). Knives are tools, that's then end of it.

     

    I carried a knife on me from the age of 10! I learned to use one as a tool from that age, but I did grow up in the middle of rural Norfolk.

     

    People will kill people unfortunately, ban knives then screwdrivers will be the next "big" weapon on the street. This country need to learn some respect! Lookat the ***** looting their own areas for god sake!

    Zalt zalt zalt and more zalt. I have had not end of luck on them on the wensum and the Norfolk broads. Also slamo are incredible. All available on eBay.

     

    The zalt was developed in Sweden and that is the main lure out there and the slamo was made in Poland, both very good predator fish countries.

     

    Use them and you can't go wrong mate. Mix that up with a proper multiplier rod n reel and you will have the best fights.

    H guys

     

    I was speaking to a guy the other day and he advised to put a crow decoy in a pigeon pattern.

     

    The set up we use is whurlie at the front the the horseshoe coming off this.

     

    The guy then advised to put a crow inside the pattern as if it has landed up.

     

    Any one do this/tried this and does it work?
