Surely geordies only get upset when they run out of broon / the dole office is shut. Sums it up that they were expecting 30000 tonight but when someone read them the news it was a sell out. Aspiring to 13th place in the prem ? Thats really what a big club dreams of, "ooh, lets aim for mid table mediocrity, we are big enough to have twelve teams above us". Big club my dogs bottom, and before you whinge I dont support a prem team, I do know that having lots of fans does not a big team make, if that was the case Man ure would win everything that chelski dont.

You are however correct that we aren't a big club because we haven't been successful for a long time but for some strange reason the whole country has been obsessed with us since BS was sacked so read into that what you will.
And the southern media continue to be obsessed with us whether it's good or bad news they're reporting. Basically ******** it imo in case we do eventually do something as they know with the fan base we have if we were to break the top four etc we'd be on par with Man utd and Chelsea financially
Would Man City, Everton, Villa etc get the same coverage.....I very much doubt it.

Was hoping he'd turned over a new leaf, seems not. More bad publicity what the club doesn't need. We've been the laughing stock of the country for long enough without Barton helping to put the boot in, Allardyce is doing a cracking job of that on the field.

Some disgraceful refereeing but it was no more than I expected from the yanks who were ******** it in case their golden boy was beaten. In the end though class showed through after Hatton losing his rag about the points deduction

Being a local lad I've shared a few pints with Mr Hatton in the past, and only missed two of his proffesional fights in this country (the flying mobile hasn't reached us up here yet) and he is as nice a guy as the telly box makes out. The complete polar opposite of Mayweather.
However Mayweather is an awesome boxer, a complete *****, but an awesome boxer. Hatton is the man stepping up in weight, and even though Mayweather is a small fighter for that weight, he's the one more comfortable at the weight. And, remember when Hatton stepped up last.
My heart says Ricky. And I refuse to let my mind have an opinion.
Met him a few years back in Liverpool, a top, top lad, exactly what you see on the box.

Scotland robbed by bad refereeing, don't make me laugh, if it wasn't for the poor refereeing you wouldn't have been level. Ferguson was blatantly offside.
P.S I would say 98% of the Scottish despise England as a football team and would rather see anyone but England win. Once saw a Jock in a German top and a kilt when we were playing Germany.

Ditto. Some quirky students were letting them off in the back lane close to my house on Sunday night when I came in. The fall out of this was my staff had tried to dig his way out through the passage carpet, blood everywhere and a big hole in the carpet with a sprinkling of **** just to top things off...great, just what i needed

Keegans hands are tied at the moment due to the utter dross Allardyce signed. We should just stay up imo due to the fact there's worse teams than us then we'll see what happens when the ropes come off his hands.
P.S. Why do other clubs fans seem obsessed with us?
