as I stated, how he gona shoot both fields the same day if birds moving at same time???
-
how? if birds start moving at same time of day on both fields hows he gona shoot both ?? I can see the logic of the farmer, new drilling the birds are only gone pick up whats left on top as on the other peas that are up, they will be eating, damaging the plant , there for be better off protecting whats growing rather then seed that spilt

you ow boys must have hgv to get all your shooting takle about with all these flaoters, glidders, landers to take about , in the good old days we used to decoy pigeons then poke a hazel stick up um and peg wings out to create floater without carry all this takle about
you done a days work just to get to where you want to get in the field carrying this lot

12 may is rook day, or so they used to say, so if you say there 2 wks late mate 26 may they should on the branches, I shot half doz on the 5 may around here which would make un few days early

Ive just finished watching "jim albone exceptional red letter day" noticed they all count with clickers and not the final picked bag. I noticed frew out the film a few birds not dead walk off or go down winged in hedge rows witch would be hard to find. Back to my question, do you count with clicker/in your head your final bag or what you pick up at the end of the day? Ive always just counted what ive picked at the end of the day. What do you do??
all ways count what I pick up end of day mate, I have 2 ess with me when I shoot, this prevents those birds that drop behind , or in hedge or winged being lost , and those that can walk of are dispatched very quickly

is there any birds feeding on the new seed drilling??

In principal I agree with Motty as I hate killing something I am not going to eat or I can not find someone to consume but when it comes to Pigeons and the farmers fields ten the primary objective is protection. I wont "dump" the pigeons anywhere but dispose of them sensibly.
so how would you dispose pigeons sensibly?

Im with these two Oi motty we cant all be like you, you try to come over like your some kind of marry Poppins practically perfect in every way, yea righto.

Just like to make a little piont about cradles being 18inches of the ground , you do realise that you can push them in a little further to say 4inches if ya worried about the whole floating in mid air thing. Lol
???? really??? well I didn't no that lol

I don't think that if that was the case that the fox population would suddenly rise. I wouldn't have thought that many foxes starve to death.
so lots of shot pigeons layed in hedges wouldn't in courage foxes???

i am 70 year old and i woke up this morning, that will do me.
that's the way mate , love it

carnt see many people who don't shoot that many a year paying £120 to be able to sell say 500 birds a year, But what I can see happening is a lot being dumped in the hedge to feed mr fox, then in no time at all the place will be over fun with foxes
, but on the other side of the coin, if the place is over run with foxes, mr camaron and his merry men might just do the rite thing and lift the hunting with dogs ban

I just got visions of that animation film '' chicken run'' lol
