  1. This sounds interesting. So this list tells you places you can shoot, and you can just go there and do it without asking for permission, or have I got the wrong end of the stick here?

  2. In theory iron sights shoud be fine for all airgun ranges as many military sniper rifles have iron sights which are usable up to 600m!

I just thought it would be great to become a sharpshooter with irons, makes it more challenging

  3. Hello chaps/chappesses, what would you say is the furthest distance it would be possible to hit a target useing iron sights on a good springer? Id be interested to know as ive only ever shot up to about 20m accurately in a standing position.

  4. When will they realise that banning these things doesn't make a diffirence. Its not us sporting shooters that do stupid things with guns, we wouldn't because it would ruin our sport for all of us! Its just idiots, if they can't get their hands on a Brocock, then they will just use something else instead to reak havoc with. What needs to be done is preventing people from becoming criminals in the first place, so long as these idiots are out there they will continue to cause a problem. The only people harmed by these laws are us, law abiding, respectful and proudly British sportsmen. We are not the ones scrounging off benifits and shooting up cats on a council estate!

  5. Vulcha, as to your earlier question about the price of a combo, yes thats a good price.

So long as you tighten the screw before and after shooting you shouldn't have a problem, you could try using clear nail varnish to hold it together, don't use glue, too difficult to take apart.

My prefered caliber is .177 as it has a flatter trajectory. Accuracy is more important than anything else, if you miss what good is that? either caliber will be equally effective if it hits. As to comments of over penetration, rubbish, just use the right pellets! .177 ammo is cheaper too.

  6. I have had a webley Xocet for nearly a year now. Great starting gun. 1 disadvantage, no safety, never bothered me because I use it for targets, but in the field it may be a problem. You could go for a BSA supersport, very similar, but lighter and has a saftey. Good Luck!
