my two spaniels have had the same thing!, one of my permissions has mostly cabbage growing, and if we`ve worked the fields, when they get home they go made chewing and trying to clean their pads. I was thinking it might be something sprayed on the cabbage .there`s no stinging nettles growing in amongst them either. wondering about some sort of barrier cream??

@windywoodyIts got to be a good move, most of the the guys I fish with here take one or two fish for the table the rest go back, however there are rods that take 20+ Bass a nite that get sold to take aways etc. But the commercial fishermen will be downfall of the Bass stocks, One boat alone took 50 tonne of fish in January off Coverack South Cornwall !!!!

Had the call on friday evening from my mate saying shoot was on tomorrow,rain and gales were easing and looks like it would be ok.Saturday morning arrived dry a clear what a bonus,on this small shoot i normally work the dog and get the chance to bring the gun if numbers are down and today i was told take the gun happy days.Did the first beat of the morning,dog working like a demon picked up two good retrives all going well, my chance now on the next drive to use the gun.Walking down the lane now to get to our next stand when i go **** over t** and hear a loud crack!!!.after the intial concerns of the lads for my wellfare the ribbing and p*** taking took over.so i was bundled back to the farm barn were the boys said you rest up here and we will finish the morning. .lunch time comes and ankle not looking good,better take him to causalty is the considered opinoin....So here i sit Sunday morning with a broken ankle leg in plaster thinking 6 weeks of this i`ll go mad,what is it they say **** Happens!!!!!!!!
