Evening all ,
well as some of you know yesterday I picked up a brand spanking new Beretta A400 Action , well to say I was over the moon with it when I picked it up would be an understatement to say the least , anyhow I got it home and spent half the night playing , and reading the instructions ( for the gun pod ) , when I got a call , would I like to go and shoot some more drillings in the morning , of course I will I said , so off I went this morning ,
now just point out , the gun was and still is 100% standard as in , I have not altered it in any way , I wanted to take it out for a day , see how and where it shoots before I even think about changing anything , so please bear that in mind when you watch the vid , its the first time I have used it !! ( does shoot a tad high )
I was set up for 7am and was shooting over fresh bean drillings , no decoys , only a magnet with 2 dead birds on it . I packed up at 2.45pm only because I was shattered ( getting old )
the day finished with a total bag of
92 woodies
5 rooks
4 jackdaws
total bag of 101 birds
please note I made a bit of a hash of the vid , about halfway through the morning I noticed the battery was nearly flat , it turns out I have a wifi thing on the cam . And I never knew it , I turned it off but it had already killed my battery :-( so I had to use it sparingly to make sure it lasted me , also the last two birds shot are the wrong way around , , the one with me cheering was when I hit the hundred and the other one is when I hit the 101 , I packed up at that point .
anyway I hope you enjoy what I have managed to record anyway

Well in. Are you a farrier? Notice your Swan gas fire and what looks like a foot stand.
I had a call from one of my farmers today. We had a natter about the weather, crops etc. Oh and btw, there are a few bunnies around if I could pop down at some point
After the famine of shooting over the last few months, I was desperate to get out and get a bag of some sort So popped the cz452 .22 in a bag, rucksack with a box of shells, mags, bolt, rangefinder and I was out of the house
Arrived at 4pm. I did a short drive round and spotted bunny 1 at 60 yards. In the bag Next one fell in the next field. Bit more of a drive round. Then found 3 sitting in a group, again at 60 odd yards. I had some CCI segmented rounds in a separate mag for a try out. So popped it in and dropped no 3 and no4 didn't even lift its head from the grass, despite the impact 2 feet from him. So 4 in the bag The segmented rounds didn't seem to have quite the "Wop" that the Winnnies do, so maybe that's why the 4th wasn't spooked On the way out of the farm, I saw a group of four at reasonable distance, which I lasered at 125-128 yards. There was zero chance of stalking up on them as there were pheasants in between, and I knew they would alert the rabbits to my presence. Having done some range testing last week, I confirmed on Strelok the holdover point on the Viper for 125 yards, and let the Winnie go. A satisfying wallop confirmed no.5 was in the bag. All of the rabbits were in top condition
What a cracking rifle these cz's are, and the 452 handles so well........just love it
Good shooting.

There is always the option of pillar bedding the screw points and glass bedding it if you really want to go to town. I've done it on previous rifle builds but on my own CZ laminate thumbhole stock (which fitted great out of the box BTW) for the HMR it doesn't seem to need it. Though I do use an tension adjustable torque wrench if it's ever out of the stock.
I always have a zero sighter/fouler before hitting the rabbits though, ammunition variations and ambient temperature effects on powder and barrel harmonics between zeros can usually make for a click or two.
Hi what torque do you do up the bolts to.

It wasn't to make it look pretty Dekers. I wanted the 455, and it is/was only available as a thumbhole. Now had I known more about them at the time, then maybe the 452 with a varmint barrel would have been the obvious option. Even then, the stock on the 452 is kiddie size and I'm a tall bloke! I didn't get on with the thumbhole for a variety of reasons, fit and comfort being amongst them. So that was the reason I bought the stock from Boyds for it, and I have to say it transformed the fit and balance of the rifle. As to the colour, it was a straightforward choice of various laminates or plain walnut, all un-chequered for the same price. Current price delivered is about £120.
Now I know you regard your firearms as just "tools", which to a degree, they are, especially for you a pesty. For the rest of us, this is our hobby and there's a proportion of owning something that you like and enjoy using, not just as a functional tool.......well for me anyway.
Dito.

Would it be possible to fit this rifle with a 16 inch barrel into a boyds rimfire hunter stock which is 32 inches in length.

BERETTA XPLOR LIGHT
-
I have one with 28'' barrels best gun I have owned never jams will handle any cartridge easy to carry all day can't fault it in any way.
-
I would keep shooting them, and then when she starting killing me i would say,"well, what a hypocrit,"before drawing my last breath and possibly dieing depending on the method she was using.I would also probably try and touch her boobs because i think i would get away with it if i was being murdered!
Depending on her age her boobs could be between her kneecaps

I have a bog standard 10/22 which I would like to customise new barrel stock etc so what I would like to know is can I buy a new barrel from a stockist over the counter or by post or does this have to go on my FAC.
