Definitely can't fault PCP for a spot of vermin control, nice and quiet especially for bunnies, I have a Brocock S6 .22 does the job nicely, trick with any air rifle is zero your scopes in properly and know your limits!

Yep, after each shoot I pop the chokes out to clean, the way I look at it I gotta clen the rest of it so as it only takes a few seconds to pop them out as well while I'm at it!

Just popped in & topped up with 500 Hull superfasts 27g F as I was out near my supplier today and Hull have definitely put their prices up, were £81.00 /500, now just paid £87.00 for them.

Isn't it just the british way.we will stand for anything,most replying would happily pay more ,and be thankfull to pay double.why is it we are so subservient .nobody ever kicks up a fuss.ohh we will have a good moan about it but that's all we will do,We will say thank you very much and think we got off lightly.

Don't waste ya money on those first ones you saw,I had a pair and they are rubbish, better off with a pair of sonic's, cheaper and better! Just got myself a pair of Emtec Noisebreakers after reading numerous great reports about them and can definitely add they are superb, had the moulds done and they were he the following week! The total cost was £120 that included the express delivery this was only 2 months ago.

Same down here in the Cotswolds, been watching the fields on my permissions and only a few birds here and there, set up a few times only to manage a couple of birds in as many hours, still plenty of time yet!

I'm no expert but I have never hit any of my dogs I've owned, its all about BASIC TRAINING! My current dog was a rescue collie that I had from a bloke who used to keep her in a cage and clout her about as he basically had no idea and obviously she was bouncing all over the show! I had her from about 18 month old after she was taken off him it took over a year to get the fear of people out of her, but during all that time she was taught the BASICS, sit stay, walk to heal etc ( verbal, hand and whistle) and it took a lot of patience but not once have I had to touch her, she is now 13 and one of the best behaved and well mannered dogs you could have, been brought up with two small kids and loves them, she was introduced to livestock during my training with her and will happily wander with me through any of them with no problems at all, very seldom she is on a lead as she watches me for commands etc, unfortunately not much use as a gun dog as she can't handle close up loud noises anymore mainly due to her age but has been out beating & flushing with me in the past, and being trained to the whistle has its advantages BUT I didn't train her for any particular job in life just BASIC TRAINING for both our benefits, there is no excuse for having a bad behaved dog or needing to beat the **** out of them which will possibly result in reverse psychology if you ask me! ..... Sorry for the rant but really hate seeing people hit a dog for doing something wrong, absolutely no need, if my old girl has done something wrong or even thinking about it all it takes is a raised voice and a look ......enough said!

Definitely give the superfasts a go, I switched over to them from comp x a while a go now and really get on with them, (27g fibre 7.5's) Tried various carts but sticking with these!

Used to be through the 80's & 90's but Cranfield summed it up nicely, totally lost interest with it and looking at the kit available now it makes me wonder if you took all theirs toys and luxuries away how good would they be then!
Went back to fly fishing around 2001 which on the odd occasion gets me some nasty looks and comments from some of the carp boys as every now and then i have taken a few good carp off the top with the fly rod ..... Old habits die hard!

No expert but 1/4's in both barrels for rough and clay, does the job for me ok ( 6's for the pigeons & 7.5's for clays)

27g 7.5's superfasts for me, tried alsorts but really like these after trying them out.

Been using the 30g 6's in fibre for the pigeons, no problems to speak of apart from the lack of pigeons recently!

I've been using the 6's on pigeons instead of my usual clear pigeon carts, had no problems with them, a bit slower than CP's if anything but does the job well, ....... When I manage to find the pigeons that is!

I got to pull the trigger today but out on practice with the club on clays, did drive past my grounds on way home ....... Nothing!

Yep, spent 4 hours this morning for 4 birds, yesterday there were dozens in and out ...... Not today!

Stock oil

I use CCL oil on mine,(good quality walnut oil is just as good) put a little drop in the palm of your hand then rub it into the stock, keep rubbing it in until your hand gets warm on the wood this helps the oil seep into the wood, leave it in a warm place overnight then either repeat process or buff up with link free cloth.
If you want to wax it afterwards then get a good wax like Colron finishing wax, rub it on to stock then leave it for 20-30 mins, add a drop of silicone gun oil (trade secret stuff is the best) then buff up again with a lint free cloth.
