  1. £249 where from?

I don`t think you can tbh , I had these comments on my Armsan sale advert and from what others said on that thread the cheap ones were slight 2nds and no longer in supply. Just a good sales gimmick to get you to call.

Borrowed from the last advert for one of these that went down this route!

"The offers RFD's have on Armsan etc & the rest for under £350 are slight seconds , with imperfections & limited to 5 sales & under , to boost there over all sales on new.You know the ploy , ring about one thing, get another ........spend double

Armsan are twice the material quality & quality control of any other shotgun form the same country & worth every £££'s

Try find one @ under £345, don't read the RFD ads, call them up"

    Yep that's the one :-)

  2. these posts are not helpful to members trying to sell IMO

    I totally agree,

I priced it by looking at the same guns available on Gunwatch and made sure mine was cheaper,

I was certainly not setting out to con anyone or ought and was not aware of the fact some dealers on other sites were selling the same gun at discounted prices. Though if your not local to these sellers I expect there would an RFD cost both ends that would up the overall price slightly ?

Perhaps a PM with this knowledge may have been better so I could have revised my price accordingly ?

Anyways with light of this news I have reduced my price on the Gunwatch site and if anyone is actually interested in my gun I will be open to sensible cash offers on the gun.

  3. ive got one of these that i bought new last august , since ive had it i havent used any of my other guns , i use it for everything from pigeons with clay loads , to foxing with heavy bb loads , its no purdey but it just sort of does everything.

It is a lovely gun mate and this one is in excellent condition I`d go as far as to say as like new as you can get for a used gun, I have taken a lot of hi-res pics if anyone would like me to email them just give me a shout.

Only reason for sale is I haven't pulled a trigger since early this year and I also have a semi-auto in the cabinet that I`m hoping I`m making the right choice in keeping for the odd occasion I do get to shoot nowadays.

  4. Don`t know if this would be of interest to anyone?,

    Its the 2.2hdi with a 1650kg payload,

Its a great van but I`m just not going to be using it for the forseeable so its going to have to go.

I`ve used for trackdays and general running about and the previous owner raced bikes and he used it for that so its had a fairly easy life.

It has low miles at 119000 miles and I`ve just had it MOT`d and to pass I had a ball joint done and new wipers. It has got an advisory for one tyre being close to legal limit.

Its fully ply lined and bodywork is really good except a small dent in one of the rear doors, the interior is really clean and has electric mirrors/windows and radio with steering wheel controls.

Its LEZ compliant (I`ve driven it through central London)

Would make a good work van, shooting or day van.

Looking at £1650 no vat and am open to offers.

Any questions just ask, I`m located in Margate kent.

I`m having trouble uploading pics so if anyone is interested I can email some over to you.

  5. Reading this I realise that I did better mates rates than I 1st thought as although I already the room thermostat and thermostatic valves on the rads and the plumber did flush it and do a proper job on it. My plumber/gas engineer is a mates uncle and charged me £250 for the 2 days labour (what`s the usual rates for a plumber?) and the boiler and parts inc filter, flush and treatment came from my mate whom owns his own plumber merchants (Thanet Gas Spares) the plumber just collected everything he needed and I paid my mate after. I assumed that I got good mate rates at the time but now think my reply was a tad misleading on the normal going rates.

I hate these threads because they demonstrate how badly many boilers must be installed.

A conscientious plumber will insist on powerflushing the system, which will take at least half a day, depending on the size of the system. Building regs stipulate that you need to have thermostatic rad valves on the radiators plus a room thermostat at least. the boiler will need a magnaclean type filter fitting and a combi will need a magnetic scale reducer as well. the chances are very high that you will need a new gas supply from the meter to provide enough gas to the new boiler as the gas valves in them require a known gas pressure to work properly. Fitting a decent boiler in the same position with minimal upgrades rarely costs less that £3k, maybe a little cheaper up north, but I doubt it would be significantly less, and the likelihood of needing extra upgrades as listed above is high.

  6. Mate I`m glad to hear his back home now and feeling better, I know how you feel as my 8yr old son has asthma as well, I still remember when it 1st reared its head when he was at nursery and my Mrs calling me in tears as he was taken to hospital as he couldn`t breath then me going down there to see him with the mask etc. not nice. Its now kept at bay with the brown pretentive and only having the blue one occasionally to the point it hardly bothers him I`ve just back from watching him at football training for an hour so it does get better even in a relatively short period of time.

On another note I don`t if you remember the advice you gave me re. the ILM ? It was defiantly the right choice for me as I'm learning lots from it and its helping me at work plus I`m enjoying it in the meantime. So a big thanks for your advice.
