  1. Ok so went to Southdown yesterday for practice, totally forgot to ask about your lessons so emailed them and this is the pasted reply.....

We currently offer one hour lessons for £72.00 however at member's rates

they are £65.00 and that includes the cartridges that are used whilst the

lesson is underway. I believe if you purchase 5 lessons, the sixth one will

    be free.

  2. So I take it the wheels and tyres stolen are full size?

Can you not get a scrawny space saver type - probably no one would want to nick one of them.

It's only the full sized alloy wheels off the HSE that's gets stolen, I bought this wheel protector and when it was in land rovers for a service they rang me and asked where I got it from, they now have some in stock to offer victims that come in asking for a new winch and wheel..!

  3. If you go to the disco3 forum www.disco3.co.uk there is a guy on there called Ray and his user name is RLD, he make a anti theft device which goes on the winch end and goes up into the wheel when winched ( bit like a round metal plate) makes them unstealable, about £80 - £90 delivered, first thing I bought for my discovery when I got it...!

  4. Southdown is good for lessons and I think they do a deal for three or five or something, I had a lesson there when I started and the guy was very good, the facility's are excellent for beginners, just don't do what I did and have one lesson then jump straight onto the sporting layout as that is defiantly not for beginners.

As for prices have a look at there web site.?
