  1. I bought these a couple of years ago, and never wore them much as I'm really a size up from this, so I tried them on, and kept them in case miracles occurred and I lost enough weight to get in to them. That hasn't happened, so they're for sale.

They're the original Pro Hunter, not the Move, Endure, or whatever other models have been released, which is to say, they're lined, heavy duty, Gore Tex waterproof trousers, wearable either on their own or with a base layer, they're not over trousers.

In the classic Harkila green, unworn except to try on, and freshly laundered cos they've got a bit dusty while they've been in the spare room. I'm asking £125 posted for these, the new equivalent (The Endure is probably the closest on the current range) is £329 RRP, so these are a bargain. They're slightly unusual in that normally a 38 inch waist would have a longer leg.

I’ve just noticed a few stitches have come away right under the zip fly, so, with that in mind, £100 posted seems fair.

    Pics haven't worked, whoops!

I'm just off out, so can't try again now, I'll attend to it when I get home later.

  2. I bought this a couple of years ago, and now, as usual, find myself with too many jackets.

It's green, the photo represents the colour well, and XXL, quite a fitted XXL, not that roomy, so if you're XL you'll be able to wear a couple of thicker layers underneath, if you're more of an XXL, you'll be wearing a baselayer and a tshirt.

It's a polyester shell, stuffed with recycled Icebreaker merino, it's warm, but not bulky and stays warm if it gets wet (It's not waterproof). Really good quality, a good jacket to just chuck on when it gets nippy, packs down small. I'd keep it, but I just bought more or less the same thing but made by Musto.

It was £190 new, and is still in really good condition. It's now been replaced by the Stratus X which is pretty similar, but £230

    I'm asking £75 delivered.

Right here I am posting form our new Samsung Tab A with 5gz WiFi.......

Speed test was the first thing we did and...... 109meg download threw the WiFi :good::good:

So our engineer was correct, the higher speeds is accessed via 5ghz.

Really happy now with both the Tab A & 5ghz 100meg WiFi speed.

Try it on the 2.4ghz network, it’ll be just the same.

  4. I have some goretex full zip Dubarrys, I really like them, once you get past the comments about how butch they are. They’re comfortable, but not warm, so I wear them on wet days in autumn or early in the season, before I swap to my Neoprene Le Chams. Only had them a couple of years and don’t wear them more than a couple of days a week, so can’t comment on longevity, but they still look in good nick.

  5. That's nothing to do with the 2.4/5GHZ factor, 2.4ghz can operate at up to 600mb, so your 100mb won't stretch it, the difference between the two frequencies (and don't forget, they're frequencies, not speeds) comes into play when you have congested networks, at home I have about 25 devices using wifi, so I split them between the two frequencies. The distance thing is half(ish) right, 2.4ghz signals propagate over a longer range than 5ghz, but there's not much in it.

Might be worth changing the channel that the  2.4GHz wireless network uses. You can get interference from neighbouring networks if they're all on the same channel.

    Good point.

  6. Vansdirect do nothing but mislead, I found them impossible to deal with, the quotes were nowhere near the advertised deals, and when I asked them why that was, they got very prickly. I didn't get a lease in the end, but if I do in the future, I'll probably go through a main dealer when they have an offer on, and as Tom says above, don't get accessories added to your deal, as you'll pay through the nose for it.
