thanks marshman, lets just say the local butcher has been busy making goose and black pudding sausages and goose and cranberry, very nice
-
its not about numbers ,its about enjoying what you do,all these posts are either antis or dont get much shooting,
for me up here north of aberdeen a walk with the dogs in the morning can produce a bag of five geese, yes five,no more as i have to carry the things home, makes me laugh
-
so yet again its ok to post and brag about shooting thousands of pigeons ,but frowned upon to have a good fowling season,
you get out of it what you put into it
-
Yes alan myres, bought a tripple barrel 12 of him last week, very impressed gow it shoots
-

Flight of a lifetime but all aver within 20 minutes, two hours of nothing on the evening flight then just on grey dark 5 honkers and two greylag in the bag ,the special thing for me was my 12 year old lad was out with me ,he is very keen to have a go,
-
wont be long now
-
welcome, was down your way last month at dean on boar, nice area
-
bought one from myres,"dont like it"kicks like a mule, you also need mr tickle arms to work it and everytime you reload you tend to take your eye off with the pump, what i do like is the chunkieness of the barrel with the terror choke so i have sent the barrel away to be custom fitted to an old semi auto ithaca mag ten, that will be a tool, spare bps action here if needed,,
-
cool ,it just goes against the odds of what i have been reading on steel and full choke
-
-
i hate to diisapoint you but i measured it myself at .705
-
Hi i am relatively new to reloading shotgun cartriges so have been reading as much as i can about lead, steel, chokes fps, pressure u name it i have been trying to get my head round it all,it was only last week a mate of mine bought a new browning bps pump 10 guage shotgun along with a terror choke, when he phoned me and told me that he had a waterfowl choke arrived from the usa i expected him to tell me it was a half but he proceeded to tell me it was a choke that measured .705,my reply was that cant be right because in realistic terms that choke is 70thou and is extra full,"dont put steel through it i said.
Unknown to me he emailed the company that makes terror chokes and they emailed him back saying yes it is for steel but dont put anything bigger than buck no 4 through it,buck no 4 is 6.4 mm as far as i am led to believe,
Since last week he has battered a heap of steel through it at pattern plates and not a problem,i will say this ,the choke is very chunky, any comments welcome
-
Just having a read through as its getting close to the season,i do know that alan myres has two lincolns for sale both with teague multichokes, very tempting but sounds like cartriges are hard to get these days
-
ok thanks,i have been playing with ao and cheddites but they seem to be a one time deal ,the brasss seems to swell easy
-

-
