I was hoping someone could answer a question for me, some time ago I had a gun fit done on an O/U and was given the measurements etc, I then had my O/U adjusted to the measurements and am really happy with the results. I also have a SxS and wanted that adjusting as well, will the measurement be the same or do I need another gun fit but on a SxS try gun
Apologies if this is a stupid question

Hi
I am looking to buy a Browning 525 guncase, either from an Elite grade 3 or a prestige grade 5.
Thanks
Sean

Hi
Does anyone know if Sporting Targets is fibre only or do they allow plastic wads ?

Lets be honest, he has made such a balls up of running his own country that they are now thinking of voting in Donald Trump. So his advice is about as welcome as a mouthful of cat ****

What's the serial number
serial number is 53XXXX, ASi date the gun as produced in 1985

I have a late 70's No 1, 28" barrels, standard trigger, stock, forend etc, cased, 1st class condition fully guaranteed from a very reputable RFD. Was (from memory) a bit of change from £4000 inc being fitted to me with two fitting sessions, stock alterations etc.
That was about 3 years ago.
I would expect a little less for 26" barrels, but probably between 3 and £4K dealer price, which I guess is 2.5 to £3.5K private
Thanks

Thank you both for the answers, its more than I thought. I would be happy with £2.5k. The gun is early 80's

Hi
I was wondering if anyone knew what the going rate for an AYA No1, 26inch, barrels in good condition with nice wood, would be? from the perspective of me selling one
Thanks in advance

yes Essex is taking about a year for new applications and even renewals are running late, I have heard of 6 month temp certificates being issued.

I bought my girlfriend a lovely SP V 20 bore last year, lovely gun. She used it twice and then said she wasn't bothered about shooting again, I was not impressed. Its a lovely handling gun and if you are looking for a 20 then I would highly recommend. Lovely wood too.

When I bought my new Maxus it had little, if any, protective coating. Perhaps it had been on display at the shop and they had cleaned it. If it shows no signs of an oil or the like then just plough on and use it. I normally just run over the outside with a gun cleaning cloth before taking it out of the house.
Thanks, the gun has been at the dealer in a cabinet for a while so they may have already cleaned it.

Hi
Sorry my first post is a question.
I bought a new Browning Maxus, first semi-auto for me. The manual tells me to clean off the protection film before first use and to lightly oil, but its a bit vague about exactly what needs cleaning. I have watched a few videos on how to break the gun down but just need advice on what to do.
Thanks
