  1. 2005 L200 top spec Animal.

Thought I'd list this here before it goes on eBay.

Would make good shooting truck or daily work truck.

Engine light is on due to EGR been blanked off but has been like this for at least 2 years and runs absolutely fine. No smoke.

Few spots of rust and a few dents, the paint isn't great on the roof (which you can't see unless you're very tall), the lacquer on the inter-cooler pod is flaky, this isn't a show truck but it's not bad - see pics.

I've had it at least 6 years and I've serviced it myself in that time and I can't seem to find the service book anyway but there is a few receipts from before I had it.

104k miles but it had a rebuilt engine less than 10,000 miles ago. I can't find the receipts for the work but it was well over a grand. I'll try to contact the garage that did it for a copy invoice to prove it but if I can't get one, you'll have to take my word for it, or not.

New turbo recently - I do have the receipt for that!

Front tyres are recent, rear could do with replacing.

Slight oil leak where dip stick tube bracket has snapped and the dipstick is a bit loose. No oil marks on the drive so I haven't bothered sorting it.

I do have a canopy for it but the G-clamps that held it to the bed were a bit ropey so I took it off and have now lost the clamps. The canopy has been under a tree for a few years and I'm not sure of the condition of it now but it will be included if you want it and can take it away. Which reminds me, the canopy rubbed against the body above the back window and there is a patch where the paint has come off and surface rust- easy fix.

Black and white leather seats with no rips.

    MOT til October 2017.

I've been honest in the listing, it's a good truck, engine and gear-box are great, 4x4 high and low engage and operate as should, rear diff-lock works.

    Collection from Worcestershire

£3995 as is or £4500 and I'll put a new MOT on it, new rear tyres and a get it serviced.

  2. Just seen on the BBC 'news' website that Bill is urging Theresa May not to reduce the UK's commitment to spending on foreign aid.

Two things are causing me to feel slightly irritated about that - firstly, he has generated enough wealth to pay off our National debt and it's because of people like him and Abramovich etc having ludicrous amounts of moneys that ludicrous amounts of people are poor, and secondly, he's American so it's got jack all to do with him

Typically American, false news to avoid paying income tax

What the **** are you on about? I suggest you learn a bit about Bill Gates and his philanthropy. I am not a liberal, nor an American but I have a huge amount of respect for Mr. Gates and the work his foundation does. To say that it's to avoid paying tax only goes to demonstrate how ignorant you are. If you don't want to be poor, educate yourself and work hard or come up with a good marketable idea and start your own business.

Also the National Debt is over 1 Trillion, Mr. Gates is very rich, but not that rich.

  3. I don't think screwing to wood is acceptable even if it was an option which it isn't as he has stated there isn't any. Nothing wrong with the plan the op has put forward. I am sure he would not have devised the plan if there was under floor heating or whatever.

Screwing in to wood is perfectly okay. It is what my FEO advised me to do. Just think logically, a coach bolt in to structural timber is going to be stronger than a rawl plug in a brick.

  4. Hi Paul.

You're a bit too far south for me to meet up on the regular. Ian Coleys is about an hour from you, I go there on my own every other weekend if you fancy joining me. They have a great pay as you play sporting layout (but expensive at 39p a clay). I'll be there this Saturday (15.04.17) lunch time if you fancy it.

  5. I'm not there tomorrow cause I have to work but I often go week days if you fancy it some time.

Thanks for the offer, labstaff. I grew up next to Cocketts but moved 10 years ago. I've never shot there but have a Mother's Day visit so thought I'd pop in, hence the request.

  6.

The CG Summit appeals because of the lack of eye dominance and the raised rib.

Was thinking it may help with focus?

Had some good news today - FEO said he'd be around Thursday ( I only applied a few weeks ago ) - Sussex Police have been nothing but efficient in all my dealings so far.

That's a really fast turnaround. West Mercia took 9 months just for the visit.
  7. Sorry to divert the thread a bit but living in Worcester means you have options. My advice would be to contact either Carl Bloxham, north of you, or Steve Nutbeam (Longridge), south of you and get an hour or two with an expert at nominal cost before making such a big decision. Alternatively you could visit Ian Coley Shooting School near Cheltenham, they have a big stock and several demo guns along with knowledgeable staff.

Thanks so much for the info. So Steve Nutbeam is at Longridge but where is Carl Bloxham? I've looked at Ian Coley's website but the prices seem a bit on the high-side, although the setup seems very professional.

  8. You basically just described my situation. I'm waiting for my licence, read twice every bit of info I can get regarding my first gun and can't decide. I've been to look at a MK38 that was really nice but I'm not convinced it fit me right. I really like the Beretta 690's but hear mixed things about them and there's nowhere I can try one. I'd love a DT11 or Perazzi but my budget is £2000 although I could go higher if I can hide it from the mrs! I also have no mates that are in to shooting, although everyone I've met shooting has been really welcoming. And (i'm not making this up!) I also have issues with eye dominance, I have to really force my right eye to take charge but I can have issues with seeing 2 barrels or 2 clays. It's a shame you're in Sussex, I'm in Worcester.

  9.

Much like this pointless, irrelevant and insensitive post then.

Gunman,....... I wish you the very best in such a difficult time. My thoughts and good wishes are with you.

Not pointless at all. The more we speak out against any and all religions, the better the world is going to be for everyone. It absolutely baffles me that it is so acceptable to society to believe in such fantasies.

  10. They are just covering their backs mate.

They are just doing their job..

On another note,,I am gutted the way life has treated you.

When you retired, life should have been on a very positive way in your later years.

Sadly this has gone drasticly wrong for you and your family..

I and many on here no doubt will be feeling for you..

I personaly do not know how you have stood up to it..

It would have totaly wrecked me..

God,if you can, give this man a break,He deserves it..

    Bless you all ..

It really does suck for Gunman but asking an imaginary god to give him a break achieves nothing.

  11. I'd not be relying on a digi safe to keep your cabinet keys in, to be honest in your situation I'd say the police officer was correct if that's all the protection you could afford the keys to the cabinet.

What would you suggest? Surely a safe is a great place to keep keys, especially of the safe is hidden. Or were you being sarcastic and I missed it?
