Had a few hours to kill as the better half was at work and was child free so decided to go out with the HMR for a few hours, made a little hide and got settled in, missed a few to start off due to the wind but that dropped after an hour, had a go at a Magpie at about 150 yards and clipped it, within 30 seconds of it flapping about 2 crows came down and attacked it with unbelievable ferocity, then 3 more Magpies came down trying to fend the crows off, it was unbelievable to watch, one crow was pecking at the magpie like a woodpecker while the other was chasing the other Magpies, there were crows coming from all directions calling like mad, never seen a crow attack something with that much intent in over 25 years shooting. Called it a day about 4 o clock, had a productive 4 hours, longist shot was a good 150 yards when the wind dropped, well chuffed with that, dont usually go past 100 yards.
