  1. Hi all, My mate Dig Hadoke's new book has just come out and I thought I might recommend it to you. It is entitled 'The British Boxlock Gun & Rifle' and is available from Merlin Unwin books (if you want to pay the full price) or from Amazon Book if you don't. It is an excellent book, full of information and photos and definitely not a 'Coffee Table' publication. Everything you wanted to know about the development of this underrated British game gun is there. I might be slightly biased because I do get a couple of mentions in it, but Dig is a good chap and his book makes great reading. Please take a look at it (google will do the job nicely) and if you fancy an inexpensive Christmas present, this is one for all you budding gun enthusiasts out there. And before you ask, no, I will not be receiving any royalties for unshamedly plugging this excellent book. Bill aka Coney Basher
