  1. ARRRRGGGHHH!!!! It's driving me mad!!! I need a works vehicle, ie small van. I need a shooting vehicle, ie 4wd. I need something I can chuck the dogs/kids in occasionally. I do NOT need to be forever unloading one load of gear to get another load in!!! I'd like a reasonably sane MPG and reliability. And I'm fairly certain that all of the above is a pretty unreasonable ask! But, can anyone think of a vehicle that will cover most of the above considerations if not all? I think a crew cab L200 or similar is probably a decent compromise, but is it possible to ease the MPG above 30 with a diesel chip and a couple of choice mods? I had decided on a Nissan X-trail, but think I'm going to end up taking the work gear out to get the dogs in as I suspect I'd end up folding the seats down to get gear in. Suggestions on a postcard, or maybe better on here. Can someone preserve my sanity wih an inspired suggestion?
