My mate has moved into a new house outside the village and it is surrounded by a big flat field of barley. It was covered in rooks and pigeons. I went to see the farmer (who I know but was reluctant to approach).
I walked into his yard and before I could finish my question he said "Get them shot" and then pointed out another two fields which were being hit.
He owns 6 farms here and has two other lads who shoot it who are not happy but there is more than enough for the three of us to cover.
I have been out for three days and two were exceptional (I won't post the numbers on here in case I upset anyone who is watching) but the moral of the story is don't be frightened to ask!
PS any tips on decoying rooks would be helpful as I haven't had much success with them yet
