ok as i see loads of excellent knife builds on here i thought i would give it a bash bought a blank from matt at fieldcrafter (thanks again matt) Now i just missed out on a lovely piece of walnut :( , i quote fancy walneut after seeing a few examples on here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Knife-scale-curly-California-black-Walnut-burl-/121339063994 so im just looking around for a nice knife blank and have come across some good golden camphor blanks example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/knife-scale-blank-a-pair-of-quilted-Golden-Camphor-burls-a-/371064843675 so guess my first question is any there any reason not to choose walnut or the camphor ? other than ebay any good places for some nice bookmatching walnut? then i like the silver studs rather than brass, where is good place to get those ? what epoxy or glue should i use ? also have seen a nice sheath here http://www.thebushcraftstore.co.uk/tbs-brown-leather-sheath---multiple-variants-available-15677-p.asp with firesteel and dc4 comes in around £35 any better or similar sheaths you can advise on ? and then i supoose any tips /videos /guides on how to shape / produce handle ? i guess finished result i want to achieve is something similar to this , but i think its possible at half the cost and the satisfaction side http://www.thebushcraftstore.co.uk/tbs-boar-bushcraft-knife---dc4--firesteel-edition----carbon-steel-and-turkish-walnut-15661-p.asp hopefully some of the experience on here can help me in my project
