  1. My (part time) job involves i) wearing uniform & ii) being on my feet for 8 hours at a time. I get aching feet & ankles and have taken to wearing tactical boots but they are a pain to put on & take off. So, I'm considering ones with side laces: Bates, Magnum or Mil-Tec. Has anybody any experience of any of these or any others? Does the zip help & do they offer the same support as laced only versions? Or would I be better looking for "speed lace" boots? How well do they last, the Mil-Tecs are much cheaper but do you get what you pay for here? They do need to be polished to a good finish.
