philw1985
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice. Iv recently bought a Silver Pigeon 5, which is my first gun. Im really happy with it but im also frightened to do it any harm! I read in the manual that you need to be carful not to get certain solvents on the colour case hardening or it removes the coating. Could anyone advise the best way to look after it? Iv just ordered some beretta gun stock oil to protect the wood but a bit frightened to put anything near the action as im new to it all. silpig5
ive got one , action is lacquered so is a bit delicate . but having said that , after rain mud and snow and lots of cartridges the lacuer has peeled slightly in places but the colouring is in the metal so no change. keep it clean an lightly oiled and it will be fine . adi
dave1419
 hello, get yourself some browning legia spray[red tins] from MELBOURNE GUNS ,they will post them to you and this stuff won't harm any part of your gun,use it on your barrels and action, buy it in the larger tins,750 ml i think, also for your wood ,you can use browning legia woodcare [green tins] both are excellent products.i have used them for years. hope this advice helps-----cheers dave
