steve0146
Bones are excellent for teeth cleaning and getting all kinds of vitamins and minerals. I feed mine bones twice a week. They normally get beef of lamb bones from the butchers but Morrisons near us sell the bones for about 30p a pack. Bargain! If I dont have the bones, i buy a packet of the value frozen chicken pieces and feed some of the portions. ALWAYS feed raw. Cooked bones will splinter and could cause damage. After a good days ferreting, the dogs get the top half of a skinned rabbit, the ribs, back, front legs etc. What do you think they eat in the wild! At a young age, i would definately watch as they eat them to try to stop problems. Our lurcher starting trying to eat large bits of chicken whole but soon learned.
