stuey
Been having a few issues with my 11 month old Cocker bitch (read my inexperience has meant I haven't been getting the mosty from her!). Issues with walking to heel and recall were getting me down, when by chance I read a poster at the local gunshop (Weldon for those in Northumberland). To cut a long story short, we met Sandy and had a 1:1 lesson where we practiced basics and some pointers for me too. Went back today, and honed what we had been practicing. Took the dog out tonight for a 4 mile walk, practising walking to heel, sitting to whistle and recall - it all just clicked and it felt good to see my dog doing what I have always known she is capable of. A pleasurable moment, and now looking to take things forward over the next few months. www.delgarnogundogs.co.uk - well worth a visit. cheers Stu Edited April 25, 2010 by stuey
