J@mes
Not being funny mate, but you are better off googling all this info and ensuring you are happy with the results that you chose to take notice of - people on here could get it completely wrong and if you chose to follow incorrect advice it could leave you in the ****. pet passport = rabies test = expensive and drawn out process as we did it last year. Your vet will help with that though. Think we paid nearly £100 all in for one dog!
BertieLeBlanc
I lived in Mallorca for 5 years and took my German Shepherd and my wife's Jack Russel and cat Pet passport takes about 6 months as you need a rabies jab and then rabies test later to see its OK (well your dog will anyway!) Your Vet will have info from MAFF or whatever they are called now. To drive from the channel tunnel is 15 hours driving, On ferries the animals have to stay in the car, at Barcelona take the Millenium Dos High speed ferry by Transmediterranea. Book online. Alternatively fly the dogs by BA if they are not on strike at about £1000 a go - someone has to fly with them, not in the hold though thankfully! Send the gun by courier (DHL or whatever) to save aggravation if you are stopped on the highway by French gendarmes who will not speak English and will delay you (and your dogs critically). Don't mess with the French guys in green uniform either as its not unknown for them to speak with their fists or truncheons when the explanations dry up. Good luck its a great place
