B.A.T.A. at Malton, £159 for 1/2 ton(20 bags). This with Avatec medication included, so you'll need a Vets prescription. Don't know if there is an agent near you, but give em a ring...............01653 605200

You'll also need Poult pellets when they get to about 10 weeks, then at 12 weeks start to mix with wheat and split maize (If obtainable) , eventually weaning them onto full wheat. Also plenty of growers grit near the feeders.

Cheers guys, cheap would be anything less than £8 a bag. i can pick them up if its local ish.. they have been on pellets and are now 10 weeks old in one pen and 8 weeks old in the other.. Were hopper feeding them with springs so im not too keen on using split maize as i dont think it will dispense properly.. What do you think?

Sorry for late reply.

Split maize? Just depends how fine it is, through springfeeders. Hard to get round here unless at stupid prices, although I mentioned it, but is definately better imo for holding birds. It is better through letterbox feeders. Just ordered some Poult pellets from BATA, £136/ 1/2 ton. I only got 400 poults this year, rest have been ex-layers again and doing very well, again, contradictory to some pundits. :good:

If they are on pellets Wheat would be best

Weget best results if at 12/13 weeks dependant on growth we cut the pellets with wheat

25% at 12/13weeks

50% at 13/14 weeks

755% at 14/15 week etc

Check birds are sti;ll taking feed and put a toniv in the water at the same time Keep up the grit intake
