hermun
T bolt is a great little gun mines in 17hmr and shoots flat out to 150 yds set up at 100 its only very slight high in closer dont know about .22 and yes great price with screw cut etc at £500 as to choping dont bother unless its too long as its expense for little difference in shooting depends if you want to save weight but as its light why spend more dosh on it imo
welsh warrior
yer mine is a 17 hmr to ...and i like it to be longer anways so i will keep it so is 150 about the max effective range ?
hermun
its as far as i can see to shoot....lol maybe youve got better eyes but the fall off and windage gets heavy after 150yds i feel its ok on a good day at that distance but if its a target its ok to try but if its a kill shot ....... i bought a copy of "sporting rifles" by Bruce Potts found it very usful as a reference guide as im fairly new to live rounds
welsh warrior
whats the loading like i heard it can be a pain (jamming when pushing bolt forward )? also could i get a wood stock for it ? or even a more tactical looking one ? Lizard165
Great gun tried several before I went for it. Being my first fac rifle there was loads of choices all with their own pro's and cons. But I am well impressed with it and find the bolt action has got really smooth after a bit if use. Paid £550 for mine cut at 16" with sak mod. I have found that it prefers red/blue tip ammo best out of the few that I have tried.
welsh warrior
been shooting to zero in and what can i say other than awsum bit of kit ! i love the 17 hmr i was a fair bit away talking near 100 yds and i had a target pined on a inch wood plank even with a strong wind going from left to right its was getting half inch groups once i had sorted the scope out and the fact it was busting the plank up i was impressed by the power i never thought it would do that all in all a brill rifle and cal
