PESCA
A friend of mine is looking for reloading data for 20 gauge semi-magnum loads. Just wondering if any of you fellas are reloading for the 20? 70mm cases and maybe up to 1 1/8 ounce. Some loads and their components would be appreciated. Cheers. PESCA
Thanks for that, cookoff013. Not sure, but I think it's for high pheasant. As I say, it's not for me but for a friend. By the way, who would you say is the best for the components? Cheers. Guest cookoff013
30g is 1 1/16oz 32g is 1 1/8oz oops my bad. (i have 12 gauge in the brains) the load can run a 28g or 30g of shot (thats in a 70mm case) if he`s got a 3" (76mm) chamber then he can load up to 34g of shot. in a 5 or 4 would be a nice hot cartridge. i`d get the components from clay and game or siarm. i think you could load up a box for £6-7. PESCA
It's a 70mm (2 3/4) chamber. Am I right in saying that the guy from Clay and Game has retired now? Never heard of the other one. Would it cost as much as £6-£7 per box to reload? PESCA
Guest cookoff013
yeah, you have asked for a "high performance" load. it would cost less if you sourced the lead for free. thats also if you buy stuff in bulk. reloading isnt cheap anymore. but if you compare it to a cartridge that you have to buy. then it does become slightly cheaper. there is no point comparing 3/4oz load to a 1,1/16oz load. the load you have asked for is available comercial but at 270-290 /1000. you would save money making this load.
