Doghouseman
Dear Friends, I collect guns and artifacts from William Rochester Pape. Born in Amble 1831 and died of head injuries (1923), sustained from being hit by a delivery truck two weeks earlier. Mr Pape owned the Northern Gunworks, in Newcastle, where he manufactured his guns. He also had outlets in Collingwood Street and Westgate Road. Opposite the Central Station in Newcastle, (above Greggs) 'PAPE' can still be seen below the top window, and 'PAPE BUILINGS' are clearly visable from the side. I would appreciate anyone who could help me locate any Pape guns. I would like serial Numbers; Gague; and a photo if possible. I am trying to compile enough information to publish a book, of WR Pape, and the Northern Gunworks.
