Junior_Jack
SORRY NOW SOLDSOL Thanks Jack Hello Every1 Just wondering if anybody collects coins?? I emailed a man at a museum and this is what he said: The coin looks to be one of Elizabeth I, initial mark castle, dated 1571. The front reads ELIZABETH DG ANG FRA ET HIB REGINA (Elizabeth by the grace of God queen of England, France and Ireland) and the reverse a slightly abbreviated version of POSVI DEVM ADIVTOREM MEVM (I have made God my helper). If it is about 25mm across, it would be a sixpence, if 20mm a threepence. Yours sincerely Dr BJ Cook Curator of Medieval and Early Modern Coinage Department of Coins ans Medals British Museum It's worth about £60 And I thought somebody may collect them! I'm looking for £30 Posted! Thanks Jack Edited December 17, 2010 by Junior_Jack
