hello all, the school holidays have started and im bored allready lol... a few years ago my dad gave me an original bowey knife witch was his from around 1960-70. it had a bone or antler handle (couldnt tell witch) and it broke :S so today i made a new handle for it. i used pieces of the broken handle and from other types of wood and drilled holes into each piece the same size as the tang, glued them in place and put a rivit in the end piece to keep it in place. then came the laborious job of sanding and filing into shape. a few hours later it was looking good so i finished it with linseed oil.

then i got bored again and i saw a few people on the net trying to make knives out of files.. so i had a bash and this is how it turned out. i also made a sheath out of leather for it..
