MARK 1
Just a quick one guy's. Iwas travelling down a lane today on our local estate when i came across a road kill pheasant. To my amasment it was not crow's or magpies feeding on the carcuss but a group of house sparrow's. As anyone else seen such thing's or was this a case of not enough natural food for the sparrow's. After all i thought only corvid's fed on meat.
supergame
They were more likely plucking feathers for their nest. My duck pen is getting a good tidy up at the moment by flocks of sparrows. Many other birds will peck at meat if they are struggling for food, but I think the nesting material is the answer, the last thing we need is carnivorous house sparrows.
