Ive always found the best evenings roost shooting has been with plenty of wind. It seems to keep them moving and also makes far more challenging shooting . But every feb after the pheastant season when we do 5-6 weeks on the trott of roost shooting there never seems to be any wind.

Toady its blowing a gale here so I recon there should be some good shooting this evening !

Is anyone giving it a bash tonight ? If so let us know how you got on :good:

We went out decoying yesterday and then stuck around for a bit of roostshooting. It was lovely and windy which made for a fun afternoon, however, not a single pigeon came into the copse to roost. It was like that last time we went, but then the weather was truly awful. The copse is quite exposed; do pigeon roost away from their normal spot if the weather is wild?

One thing i was please with was our decoy pattern, just a traditional v but the pigeons really committed. We even had three crows in a line come in really low to the pattern.
