Tonic
Hi, Just back from a shooting trip and noticed lots of short scratches on the stock and fore-end of my 4-year old O/U. I have no idea how they got there, I'm unbelievably fussy about keeping it safe. Up until now I've managed to keep it in PERFECT condition... I nearly cried when I noticed! It is a Fabarm Axis, which has a 'Triwood' finish, basically an ink-injected wood with a shiny varnish (almost plastic-like). It is marketed as "scratch resistant" Any suggestions how I can get them out? Some kind of polish? I am worried about losing the shine of the varnish if I try it. I'm in a bad enough mood already, I dont want to make it worse! Thanks!
