Hensoldt 10x42 advice

Hi,

What would you want to know. I had one for 6 years.

Best optical quality, best made scope I ever had and I have zeiss S&B en swarovski to compare with.

Down side for me was close range shooting, scope is best from 75m till ............miles.

Also the target turrets where 2,5cm at 100m bit to rough for me I like 1cm at 100m.

But on the other hand you have enough elevation for really long rang shooting and the turrets has a one turn stop in them so perfect.

If you shoot large game like you do it's maybe perfect for me it wasn't (shooting rabbit small game, and at shorter distance)

You can put a tape around it with the correct distance on it, that works nice in the field.

The scope has a dropt mounting already milled in the stanag mounting montage.

So you need a stanag montage to for example 11mm dovetail.

The exit pupil is not to big 42mmm/10= 4.2mm so exact eye position is important but optics are brilliant als when it gets dark but still exit pupil is small.

The reticule is fine, (has to be for really long range) nice made for max light transmission (open thick posts)

Eye relief is long enough for big heavy recoil calibers.

Email me if you have more questions or would like to see some more pictures.

Picture from reticule is made with cheap camera at 400m, so don't look at the quality.

Regards Wimone

p.s. Hensoldt scopes are military made zeiss scopes so, strong and very good quality and the rubber eye piece you can screw it off, has a fine thread sice on it.
