gaffa9977
Hello ppl Ive recently got myself a Webley FX2000 and i have to say im liking it!! Ive just returned from the farm,no dinner sadley but my shooting has improved.I set up a paper target at 30yrds,a extra strong mint on a stick at 35,40,45 and 50 yards .My first shot hit bull the other 4 all hit there intended targets, the 50yrd shot was tricky when the wind picked up but i aimed slighty off and shattered it ,(alot of luck, but im chuffed). All i need now is more range practice. Id just like to say thx for this great site, ive learned alot the last few weeks just reading threads, cheers

Batmancaver
Good shooting I used to shoot at mints too. They make great targets. Mind you I never shattered mine, but then I always used to use Polos and got my pellet through the hole in the centre every time!! Enjoy your shooting Karl

kwiky
what grows in the fields where you shoot?, ive had some success decoying pigeons onto clover/grass fields in the past and also onto gravel patches, i think they eat clover but im not 100% sure, they do eat gravel though, it helps them digest there food apparently. i just try and note where i see wood pigeons when im out, not just with the airgun but if im on a bus or whatever, i often see them on roads early in the morning so i set up a decoy on a stretch of private road where i shoot and bagged three in one hour, i had the decoy right in the middle of the road, and the first 2 woodies came straight in and landed on the hedge that runs along the road, the last one came down and actually landed on the road my advice would be to experiment as much as you can, sometimes things work and sometimes the dont but you gain alot of knowledge from trial and error hope this helps
