Egg
Just got my R10 back from Adi Waugh at A&M Gunsmiths - it was down getting the barrel shortened & crowned, having the shroud shortened and having the Twink calibrated. Took it out of the box and the work was lovely - very sexy looking now the gun's all shortened and carbined. Put it into it's stock then - Eeeeeeek! I noticed that the safety catch had been snapped! In transit? In Adi's? God knows. Sent a frantic email to Mandy (Adi's very charming and friendly other half) showing a pic of the damage. An hour or so later I get a phone call from a distraught Adi offering - no questions asked - to pay for any damage/refund money from the cost of the work etc. As BSA don't sell the 99p bit of bent metal that constitutes a safety catch but instead only sell the entire trigger unit for £90 via Knibbs, I politely declined Adi's offer as being disproportionate to the damage. As I'd made a previous enquiry re getting my HW100 serviced by him he offered to do this for me - gratis! So, long story short, my HW100 will be getting a full service from an honest and very capable guy who took ownership of an issue immediately. Adi Waugh - you're an absolute gent!
