Redditch
Who would be interested in taking part in a continentall wild boar hunt next year. French boars are like the English specimens, and you're usually restricted to shooting males below 55kg, but German and polish boars are about 100-200kg, and others like the Russian boar can exceed 300-400kg. For on the continent a 308 or a 30-06 will be insufficient, with rifled slug and 8mm or 9mm being the preferred calibres , although you might scrape by with a 7mm magnum or a 300 magnum, although I would definitely advise the larger bores, as these animals can have tusks 8-10 inches or longer, and a one shot kill is definitely he way to go Expense would be about 900.00 for a long weekend, or 1800.00 for a week, plus travel and accommodation, but if we get a good able group together, we should be able to get some discount. Already have 2-3 others that are interested, so a party comprising 8-10 will be maximum I think, with 6-8 being about ideal.
